Diane M. Lockett has spent most of her life playing with words--a passion fueled by her parents in early childhood. Thus, she evolved in the melting pot of the Big Apple (New York City) to Detroit’s Motor City 40 years later. As a storyteller, poet and voiceover talent, she has developed a unique genetic code of creative energy and multi-talented versatility. This writer has experienced an uncanny sense of magnetic attraction to characters and figures. As an editor, she has demonstrated skill and sensitivity to detecting mismatched characters and figures that had gone astray as errors hiding in the midst of printed materials.  Known for burning the candle at both ends, Prof. Lockett dedicated many of her waking hours to her passion as an influencer shaping minds and attitudes in her role as an award-winning educator (Golden Apple Award of Merit for Outstanding Teacher of the Year). She gained recognition in writers’ circles as “Big Mama” and “The Food Poet”.

In her circle of influence, she bears a reputation of being focused and diligent in the pursuit of excellence. Consequently, she is an educator who is held in high esteem for her ability of cultivating and producing like-minded students. She somehow managed to ignite sparks of creative energy in her students, who evolved into mini-dynamos regardless of their respective careers.
